Networks and organizations in development communication

Development communicators are generally not well organized at the national or international levels. Some of the related associations that do exist are listed below. Many focus on national (rather than international) issues and are specialized: in radio, for example, editing, or print journalism. Some have their own newsletters or academic journals.

Virtually all organizations involved in development also do some type of development communication work: publishing a newsletter, for example, or promoting improved technologies in the field. The organizations listed below have communication as their main (or a major) activity. See the Communication Initiative website for another list.
