Please help improve this page. Send suggestions to paul@mamud.com

Courses in development communication are generally offered by departments of agricultural education and extension, journalism, and public health. Each has its own emphasis and perspective:

  • Departments of agricultural education, extension and continuing education look at the field from the perspective of education. Courses focus on formal education, curriculum design, extension systems and training methods.
  • Departments of journalism and agricultural journalism focus on the production and use of media. They emphasize media production skills, communication research methods and sociology.
  • Departments of public health focus on preventive medicine, primary health care and health education.
