References on development communications

Please help improve this page. Send suggestions to paul@mamud.com

Click on the subjects above to see a list of books on development communication. This list focuses on agriculture and print media, to the neglect of health and other topics, and of broadcast and electronic media. Please send me references to update and improve the list (see address in footnote).

The most useful references are marked *.

Some of the books are intended mainly for communicators in developed countries, but may also be useful in the developing world. Anything dated before about 1992 will not mention computers, and anything before about 1997 will not mention the Internet.

The English-language books in the list are classified by subject area, but this is fairly arbitrary. Check under related subjects for other books that may be of interest.
