These illustrated guides for farmers and extension workers in Indonesia contains details of insect pests and diseases, and spiders, insect predators and parasites that help control these pests. The text is written in simple Indonesian. It includes a description of the insect, its life cycle and where it can be found. Colour photographs show the insects at various stages in their life cycle to enable easy identification, the damage caused by pests, and the stage of cotton growth affected.


Published 2000-2002 by Proyek Pengendalian Hama Terpadu Perkebunan Rakyat (Integrated Pest Management for Smallholder Estate Crops Project), Direktorat Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan, Departemen Pertanian (Directorate of Estate Crops Protection, Department of Agriculture). Cotton manual published by the same project and directorate while it was part of the Department of Forestry and Estate Crops.
